A new sketch tonight for Fairfield... messin' around trying to establish a mood and a technique for BGs.
About Me
- Name: Tim Szabo
- Location: La Crescenta, California, United States
I worked for a few years in the traditional cel animation biz in Minneapolis before making the jump to LA about 13 years ago. I've been out here since, working in the animation biz. I'm currently doing Background design for the Comedy Central Series "Brickleberry" at Bento Box. Recently finished a gig doing background layout on Warner Brothers's new Tom and Jerry show. Recent work includes background design on Tom Hanks' noir series "Electric City" , FX Animation on a Cisco commercial for Six Point Harness, character and FX animation on MTV's series "Good Vibes".

Hey buddy!....scince I kinda know what you're trying to learn, i thought I'd chime in. I like this one and the truck painting below, but i think the thing you are missing to take them to the next level is texture. Think about the gravel in the road, the rust on the bumper, and the headlight glass texture. Guess I should be posting on the other image. Just take one section, and take it as far as you can, put it away for a day or two, and then seee what else you can do with it. You are on the verge!!!!
P.S. your Bloo soccer ball is in!!!! KICK IT!!!
